Remodelling

Remodelling can be as simple as re-purposing a diamond, or more involved such as melting down and re-using heirloom gold. We have a lot of experience with remodelling, and there are a few things to keep in mind with this process. We try to be transparent throughout the process and are happy to discuss any project you have in mind.

1. Design

To start remodelling, we need to know what you want to use and what you would like to make. If you want to use gemstones that you have, or re-use the gold that you have, the more information we have to start with, the easier it is to go forward.

Generally, the size and shape of the gemstones is the influencing factor on what can be remodelled. Once we know what we are working with, our first step is to start to come up with some designs.

Designs can start as sketches, which can also progress to 3D models and renders if required.

2. How it's made

Depending on the design, as well as what materials we are using, there are a few options as to how we will proceed.
There are numerous factors to consider when remodelling, and we will do our best to be as clear as possible with any possible challenges or considerations when using your jewellery.

We can either handmake your jewellery, or have it cast from a mold. We will inform you of the best method, and why one method may be more suitable than another, as well as any considerations in cost.

If you have a budget in mind, please let us know so we can make recommendations based on this as well.

3. Confirmation / Production

With the design and process agreed upon, we will email over the final design and specifications. A deposit will confirm the order, and we will then move onto making your jewellery.

4. Completion

When your jewellery has been made, we will be in contact with you to organise a the balance of payment and a time to pick up or deliver your remodelled piece.

We invite you to bring back your jewellery each year for a complimentary clean and check to ensure it can be enjoyed for the years ahead
